赵子建，博士，南京医科大学特聘教授，博士生导师，南京医科大学代谢疾病研究中心主任，南京“紫金人才计划”第一批人选，南京市321计划“科技企业家培养”人才，南京华贞生物医药科技有限公司董事长。同时，赵子建教授也是广东工业大学百人计划特聘教授，科技部“973”重大研究计划首席科学家，江苏省特聘教授第一批人选，广东省珠江人才计划创新创业团队带头人。
赵子建的研究项目多年来得到中国科技部、自然基金委、美国NIH、美国糖尿病协会，美国心脏协会等机构支持，成果多次以第一和通讯作者发表在Nature-Medicine、Nature-神经科学、PNAS、JCI、糖尿病等顶尖和权威专业期刊上。曾获得美国糖尿病协会前途发展奖和研究奖。多年来注重研究成果的临床应用转化，其中一些成果已申报和获得国际专利保护，有的已经正在申报进入临床试验。
人物经历
1984年获北京大学化学系学士。
1992年于南加州大学获得生物化学及分子生物学博士学位，后在美国华盛顿州大学西雅图医学院药理学系从事博士后研究及药物开发研究。
2000年任职匹兹堡大学医学院细胞生物和生理学系tenure-track教授，后晋升为终身教授（tenured）。
